Mad As Privacy Policy

In compliance with the Federal private sector privacy legislation that came into effect on 21st Dec 2001, the following statement has been generated, to inform the users (registered or unregistered members) about the Mad As Privacy Policy.

Mad As recognises that an individual's personal and private information is highly important. We know that providing personal information is an act of trust and we take that very seriously. Mad As is therefore committed to protecting your personal information and will NOT pass on this information to any third party (unless you give prior concent to do so, for the purposes of publicity, campaigns etc).

How we collect your information ?
We will only collect information relevant to Mad As Campaigns in order to put pressure on various stakeholders (especially the Government Agencies). This information is currently only collected via the Registration Form on www.madas.net.au. However, it may also be collected during telephone calls, during campaign events etc, where you provide information for the purpose of either registering with Mad As or for any other reason.

The information we collect will mainly include your name, contact details and suburb/location. We will collect this information directly from you, or if we use other sources we will tell you what they are. We will not collect any sensitive information, such as information relating to your health, political alignment, religious or philosophical beliefs.

How we will use your information ?
Your email contact details will only be used to contact you by email. Surveys on suburb lists and numbers of registrants may be used for media purposes, but your individual email address or name will not be given to any third party

Is the information secure ?
Yes, this information will be held by the Executive of Mad As only on their secure machines and not by any third party.

SPAM MAIL
We will not send you "spam" (advertising information) without first asking you whether you wish to have promotional information sent to you. If you REGISTER with Mad As by filling out the Registration Form, you will be AUTOMATICALLY ADDED to our MAIL LIST to receive regular updates and newsletters from MAD AS.
